Fine line tattoos use delicate linework. They can be a small flower, lettering or a larger drawing. The key questions are which details carry the idea and how much space they need. At INTO Tattoo Studio, Lenaugasse 8, 1080 Wien, we plan the linework, size and placement together.
Fine line describes the lines, small describes the size, and minimalist describes a simple composition. A small symbol can use stronger outlines; a delicate botanical drawing can extend over a larger area. Begin with the appearance you enjoy.
Size, detail and the spacing between lines need to be considered together. With limited space, important features can stand out more clearly when secondary details are removed. One minimum size for every subject would overlook these differences.
Placement involves the shape of the design, the visibility you want and space beside existing tattoos. Possible future additions belong in that decision too.
The gallery includes botanical linework by Anna aka a_graphic_ink, and floral designs and flowing linework by Cathy. Compare the density of each drawing and which elements stand out.
With Cathy and Lisa, you discuss, develop and refine the design together in the studio on the appointment day. If you want to see a drawing beforehand, discuss the process for your project during planning.
We cannot promise that. Sun exposure and skin ageing can change a tattoo's appearance. General information is available from Austria's health portal.

No. A description and relevant images are enough to begin. Your own sketch can also be a starting point.
A suitable small design may be possible when capacity allows. More involved drawings need more planning; same-day tattooing is not guaranteed. See the conditions for walk-in tattoos.
For a flower, I first identify what makes it recognisable to you, such as open petals or a distinctive stem. If many inner lines crowd those features, I would simplify the details. If you want to preserve the fine structure, the drawing needs more space. That guides the size decision.
I begin with the direction of the design. A branch can run along the arm or wrap around it, and each arrangement shows different parts at once. I then consider visibility, neighbouring tattoos and space for additions. That helps the placement fit the whole idea.

Our price guide lists €150–250 for tiny, simple designs and €250–450 for small, detailed pieces. Either category may be relevant, depending on the drawing. These nonbinding ranges are not a fine line tariff. Detail, size, placement and artist determine your individual estimate.
